Do you know what anophthalmia is?

Its a rare condition that affects about 1 in 100,000 children. It is where the eyes do not form in the eye sockets.
Baby Jacob Nowak was born with out his eyes and optic nerves. His family now have to travel to Germany from Ireland to get the right treatment for their beautiful little boy. He has to have eye socket extenders and prosthetic eyes fitted in place to prevent his face from gradually collapsing in on its self.
The Irish HSE does not provide funding to Jacob for his treatments overseas. So the family have started to fundraise to cover the costs of his treatments.
